Snowshoe and bogshoe trekking

Every new thing is a well-forgotten oldie. Walking on snowshoes is an exciting old way of moving. On the trek you will find out how it feels to move freely through deep snow, on the glass-smooth ice of a frozen lake or over the marsh landscape. Rest break and picnic beside a fire.
Snowshoes/ bogshoes enable moving in light snow, snowdrifts, on slippery slopes and glass-smooth lake surface. On bogshoes you can go to places that would be out of reach otherwise. In the Estonian territory boghoes were used for moving through swamps, bogs and snow already in olden times. Bogshoes were originally made of willow rods and leather.
Modern bogshoes and snowshoes are produced from modern materials (plastic and artificial leather). As opposed to the old-time snowshoes they can be quickly attached to the feet, and the joints make walking comfortable. Ice nails on the soles and claws in the toes ensure excellent traction.

The trips take place all year round.
Duration from 1.5 to 2.5 hours and distance 3 to 6 km.
